- Type-material: syntype workers (number not stated).
- Type-locality: India: Himalaya (Smythies).
- [Note: this taxon is based on specimens of dichrous (André), sensu Forel, 1893b: 432, misidentification.]
- Type-depository: MHNG (perhaps also MSNG).
- Menozzi, 1939a: 316 (q.m.).
